They say that a picture is worth 1,000 words…so true! We’ve all seen the devastation cause by Hurricane Harvey on TV, and our folks at Johnson Space Center in Houston are now living through it.
One of our ERC employees at Kennedy Space Center, Nathan Olds, made the trip to Beaumont, TX with donations in hand from folks at Kennedy. Here are the comments from Nathan:
“…ERC’s donation was able to help us and the people of Beaumont, TX far more than we could have every hoped and probably more than any email or pictures could express. I attached just a few pictures to try and illustrate what we saw and what that community is dealing with.
In the next week or so I will try to put together a more collective gallery with videos to show ERC exactly how their donation helped, at the perfect time and perfect place. When we made our way toward Texas we didn’t know at the time how we would be able to help or even if we would be able to get to areas that people were in need. As you can see in these pics, we couldn’t have landed in any better area to help.”
Thank you Nathan for your efforts to help the people of Beaumont, and thanks to all that donated items. That’s what we do: we take care of our employees, their families and our communities.
