Spotlight on an Employee: Steve Chambreau from RPS

Steve Chambreau is a Research Scientist in the Propellants Branch at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Edwards Air Force Base (RPS). Steve grew up in California, and received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UC Riverside. He spent 2 years working as an NRC Associate at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Hanscom AFB near Boston, and 2 years as a postdoc with Professor Arthur Suits at Wayne State University.

Steve is a Co-Founder of Chemists Without Borders and has served as Vice-President, President, and on the Board of Directors.  As President, Dr. Chambreau provided support and oversight to Chemists Without Borders’ projects, was involved in membership and volunteer management, and assisted with fundraising, public relations and newsletter publications.  He retired from his roles as Director and President in January 2016, but he continues to support Chemists Without Borders in various aspects.
